Kurt Sassenfeld is a retired Navy Senior Chief Electronics technician. He enlisted in El Paso Texas in 1977 and served for 26 years. He served on Amphibious ships, Destroyers, Cruisers and a Submarine Tender stationed in Sardinia Italy. Shore duty assignments included Newport R.I., Subic Bay R.P., Bahrain, Sigonella Italy and Wahiawa Hawaii. After retiring in 2003, Kurt moved to Perth with his family. He obtained Australian citizenship and worked offshore in the oil and gas industry operating R.O.V.s. Kurt is currently retired and assists with local community projects.
