WELCOME TO POST 12163 WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Assisting all American Veterans and their families in Australia.
WELCOME to Australia's first VFW Post!

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Commander's Corner

Commander Joe Ritacca

Summer is here in all it's glory. The days are hot and the nights give some relief. Keep well hydrated.

President Trump has been sworn is at the 47th President. I just wish to remind all Post members that Section 702 of the National By-Laws states;

No officer or member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall in any manner use the Veterans of Foreign Wars for partisan politics and no discussion of partisan questions shall be permitted at any meetings nor shall any nominations, recommendations or endorsements for political office be made, provided this shall not apply to discussion of policies of any organization that seeks to alter our present form of government by force, violence or other unlawful means.

Please respect that others may not share the same opinions about politics and what is said by individuals outside of meetings is not relevant to us as an organisation.

Our differences are what make us unique and we need to be proud of who we are and what we have accomplished throughout our lives. We need to respect each other. We should always have each other's backs. Enjoy time spent with family and friends and remember all those who can no longer be with us.
