Comrade Jack Miller Fletcher OAM - "Texas Jack", charter member of Post 12163, passed away on 26 May 2018. Jack served in the Marines as a Corpsman, US 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marines, 1st Battalion during the battles for Guam and Iwo Jima, and discharged from service after Operation Magic Carpet in November 1946. Jack was born on 21 September 1925 in Spur, Texas, and spent much of his time working in the Grazers Industry in the Kimberly region, Western Australia.
